About Mia Edwards

My name is Mia Edwards and I am the Assistant Principal at Pauline-Glenn Springs Elementary. This is my eighth year serving in the AP role. I have been fortunate to work for Spartanburg District 6 for 18 years, serving 10 years as the Guidance Counselor at Fairforest Elementary. The most rewarding part of my job is watching young children grow in knowledge, confidence and maturity over their six years at our school. We are growing leaders at PGS and it is amazing to watch the tiniest of children grow into smart, self-confident young ladies and gentlemen. Our school’s mission statement is "Leading is a P.G.S. Thing" and that is JUST what we do. We value the development of the whole child and work hard to help our students identify their unique talents and abilities while learning to work interdependently with others. We integrate the eight Habits of Highly Effective People into everything we do and we strongly believe we are developing character traits that will benefit our students in all their future academic and personal endeavors.

When I'm not in school, I enjoy exercising, reading, listening to music and spending time with my family.  One of the most exciting things that's recently happened is I GOT MARRIED!  My husband's name is Jamie Edwards and we have a lot of fun hanging out with our children- Arden, Andi, Haskell, Jesse and Sawyer.  I live a very blessed life!
