About Me!

Dear Parents,

          Welcome back to another great school year!  I would like to begin by introducing myself.  My name is Amanda Stephens and I graduated from Converse College in Spartanburg, South Carolina with a Masters in Early Childhood Education and Special Education. I am from Roebuck, South Carolina. I love to go to the mountains, read, spend time with family, and eat lots of chocolate! This is my fourteenth year teaching at PGS and I am thrilled to be able to make memories with you and your child this year. I just know this is going to be a great school year!

          At PGS, teachers use the College and Career Readiness and South Carolina State Standards to guide our instruction.  Your child will receive instruction daily in Reading, English Language Arts, Math, and Science/Social Studies, as well as PE, Library, Computer Technology, SAIL, and Guidance throughout the week.  My goal is for all of my students to have fun while learning as much as they possibly can.

          Homework Folders will be sent home daily with assignments and a weekly goal sheet. Make sure to sign the goal sheet in the folder each week. Friday Folders will go home each Friday with student work.  Please keep your child’s papers, but return the Friday Folder and white envelope with your signature on Mondays.
