All About Me

Dear Parents,

Welcome back to another school year.  I would like to begin by introducing myself.  My name is Allison Watson Catto and this is my 23rd year in education.  I graduated from Clemson University and Converse College with degrees in Elementary Education, Gifted Education, and School Administration.  I have also earned National Board Certification.  I’ve taught second and third grades, been a literacy coach for grades K-4, and taught ELA enrichment classes.  I am married to Justin Catto and have two wonderful children.  My daughter, Ellis, is in eighth grade at Gable.  My son, Easton, is a fourth grader at PGS.  I love spending time with my family!

At PGS, teachers use the College and Career Readiness and South Carolina State Standards to guide our instruction.  Your child will receive instruction daily in Reading, English Language Arts, Writing, Spelling, Math, Science, Social Studies, and Handwriting. Students will participate in Music, Art, PE, Library, Computer Technology, and Guidance throughout the week.  My goal is for all of my students to have fun while learning as much as they possibly can.

Homework Folders will come home daily. The weekly newsletter will be in the folder each Monday letting you know important things happening that week.  Friday Folders will come home each Friday with student work.  Please review the papers with your child so they can learn from their mistakes.  Keep your child’s papers, but the progress report should be returned with your signature on Mondays.

We are going to have an exciting year together.  If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me any time.  My email address is cattoaw@spart6.org and the school phone number is 583-1868.  You may also send a note in your child’s homework folder. Thank you in advance for a wonderful school year.

                                                          Sincerely,

                                                          Mrs. Catto
