Kindergarten at PGS

Dear Parents,

Welcome back to another great school year!  I would like to begin by introducing myself.  My name is Kimberly Tallon and I graduated from Armstrong State University in Savannah, Georgia with a Masters in Early Childhood Education. I am from Sylvania, Georgia and moved here five years ago because my husband is from Spartanburg. I love to go to the beach, read, spend time with my twin girls, watch football- Go DAWGS, and eat lots of chocolate! This is my fourth year teaching at PGS and I am thrilled to be able to make memories with you and your child this year. I just know this is going to be a great school year!

At PGS, teachers use the College and Career Readiness and South Carolina State Standards to guide our instruction.  Your child will receive instruction daily in Reading, English Language Arts, Math, and Science/Social Studies, as well as PE, Library, Computer Technology, Leader in Me, and Guidance throughout the week.  My goal is for all of my students to have fun while learning as much as they possibly can.

Homework Folders will be sent home daily with assignments and a sign off sheet. Make sure to sign the sign off sheet in the folder each day. Friday Folders will go home each Friday with student work.  Please keep your child’s papers, but return the Friday Folder and white envelope with your signature on Mondays.

We are going to have an exciting year together.  If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me any time.  My email address is [email protected] and the school phone number is 583-1868.  You may also send a note in your child’s homework folder. Thank you in advance for your support this year!
