About Me!

Welcome to 1st grade!  My name is Marsha Ross. I have been teaching for 22 years.  I have taught first grade my entire career.  I taught at Ford Elementary in Laurens County for 6 years.  I have been teaching 1st grade at PGS for 16 years.  I earned my Bachelor’s degree from the University of South Carolina, Columbia, and my Master’s degree in Early Childhood Education from Converse College. I am working on my Master plus 30 at USC Upstate.

I love being a first grade teacher.  I love coming to school each day and learning from my students.  I enjoy watching them grow and change.  I love to see them improve in all different areas.  I like to see them grow into readers and gain a confidence in it.  First grade is a super year and each child grows so much.  I enjoy teaching my precious students every day.  They make me smile with their caring and loving personalities.

I have been married for 19 years to Robert who is my college sweetheart.  Robert is a teacher in Union County.  We have two children.  We have one daughter named Madolyn, who is a senior at Dorman High School.  We also have a son named Wyatt that attends school at Gable Middle School.  We enjoy spending time as a family, doing church activities, and keeping very busy.  I love to read, watch movies, and do photography.

Thank you for sharing your children with me.  I get such joy from sharing in their education and learning process.  I feel blessed every day to be a part of the PGS family and teach these wonderful leaders!
