The Olweus Bullying Prevention Program (OBPP) is one of the best-known bullying prevention programs. OBPP has been proven to prevent or reduce bullying.
The goals of OBPP are to reduce bullying problems and prevent new bullying problems from happening. The program also works to make relationships better among students. The program is for all students, not just those who are being bullied or who are bullying others. There are several components of this program to ensure the success. One being, this program will be integrated with our school-wide character education program. This will be done through our guidance counselors as she holds her guidance classes. Teachers will be holding class meetings weekly to present lesson that deal with different types of bullying issues.
Parents and guardians play a key role in this program. Your child will be asked to tell an adult at school and at home if he or she is bullied or sees bullying happening at school. It will be very important that you take any bullying seriously and tell our school staff. Our school staff members are being trained to deal with bullying situations when we are told about them.
Should you have any further questions about this program, please do not hesitate to contact our school.

Pauline-Glenn Springs is participating in the General Mills Boxtops 4 Education Program. Simply cut off the Boxtops 4 Education label of any General Mills product and send it to school with your child. Most families have these products in their homes and are items often used. Some examples are cereal, cake mixes, and other general food items. Our school receives ten cents for every box top submitted. Let your friends and family know to save the tops for you as every little bit helps.
NOTE: For the 2019-2020 school year, there is NO available space for school choice at Anderson Mill, West View, or Dawkins Middle.
